Victoria de los Angeles is one of the greatest legends of the opera of the XXth century. She was one of the most acclaimed sopranos of the best opera theatres of the world, one of the favourite voices of the Gran Teatro del Liceo where she made her debut and of the Metropolitan Opera House in New York, where the public enjoyed her performances for a decade. She also was one of the most admired singers of the European and Spanish venues, where she offered historical recitals, most of them immortalized in anthological recordings.
