The Güell Foundation collaborates with the Victoria de los Ángeles Foundation
Joining forces for the benefit of young musicians
The Victoria de los Ángeles Foundation and the Güell Foundation sign a collaboration agreement
The collaboration agreement was formalised on 3 March in Barcelona with the signature of the President of the Victoria de los Ángeles Foundation (FVA), Helena Mora Gutiérrez, and the President of the Güell Foundation (FG), Eusebio Güell Malet.
The agreement provides for the joint organisation of an annual concert featuring scholarship recipients and award winners from previous years from both foundations, as well as the participation of musicians supported by the FG in the FVA’s LIFE New Artists programme, among other actions.
The FVA’s mission is to preserve and disseminate the artist’s legacy and to train future generations of musicians. Each year it awards scholarships for excellence to the top students of the ESMuC Master’s in Lied and, within the Victoria de los Ángeles Lied Festival, includes the LIFE New Artists programme as a platform to boost the careers of young artists. It also awards several prizes, such as the Victoria de los Ángeles Prize at the Tenor Viñas International Competition.
The FG, dedicated to promoting young artists from Catalan-speaking regions, awards annual scholarships in the fields of visual arts and music and, since 2023, has also awarded an architecture prize jointly with the Nando and Elsa Peretti Foundation. The scholarship aimed at young musicians seeks to recognise their effort and encourage them to further refine their performance skills.
