Busquets announced yesterday that the next LIFE Victoria season will be dedicated to Felicity Lott and will have exile as its central theme, coinciding with the 150th anniversary of Pau Casals and Manuel de Falla, both of whom died in exile, and also with the centenary of the Generation of ’27.

LIFE Victoria brought its 2025–26 season, Battle of the Dream, to a close with a recital of remarkable dramatic intensity performed by two leading figures in the world of song: baritone Simon Keenlyside and pianist Malcolm Martineau. The closing recital took place yesterday, Tuesday, 26 May, at the Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau and was dedicated to the memory of Felicity Lott, the grande dame of singing, who passed away last week.
The agreement will initially remain in force for several years and foresees the launch of its first joint initiatives before the end of the year, with particular emphasis on educational programmes and the international promotion of young artists.

One of the essential recitals of this LIFE Victoria season will take place on March 25. This concert features Montserrat Seró and Marta Puig, who will be responsible for the absolute premiere of Joan Magrané’s Combat del somni, a work that dialogues with Frederic Mompou’s legendary eponymous cycle and gives its name to this season. Helena Mora highlighted during her speech that this alliance “strengthens the shared commitment to artistic excellence and the promotion of emerging talent,” emphasizing the importance of joining forces between private entities to ensure the continuity of quality cultural projects.
